Driving Licence

Today I got my instructors permit. Easy as it actually is, its an extraneous activity if one has common sense. You know most of the questions they asked me were actually no brainers and since one has the choice of skipping relatively hard questions (the one where statistics are asked) it becomes very easy.

This is how the software (tochscreen!)works:
1. there is no time limit (wow)
2. Most options in the questtions are ridiculous, you would be a moron not to judge the answer by elimination
3. you can skip a question if you dont know the answer, this question will be asked to you later(like a cycle)
4. This is the best part: if you complete 80% of the questions correctly, at any point in time, you are given a pass without taking the questions you skipped!!

I had to take only 23 questions of which I got 21 correct and thats it! I didnt need to take all those hard statistical questions which may have made my life more difficult. I waled out with an instructors permit. So have athe right strategy and save yourself.

Music Music Music

What should I listen to, all kind of music sound boring lately. Hard rock, pop, hindi, reggae all boring. To add it all I have 20GB worth of music in casettes and CDs . Whenever I listen to one of them, I feel like I am not in the mood. For example, other day I was trying to work on pink floyd, then decided to go for AC DC, then some hindi music, then finally shut everything and work without music.

Wonder if something is wrong!! or am i just looking for some good music. Meanwhile let me check out gwen steffany ..may be that will help

The worst thing that can happen to you is when u prepare for some work ... prepare well and later the work cant be done due to some reason. Recently one of friends decided to remain in the lab and have a night out to work on his thesis. After about 3:00 he was sleepy and had a red bull drink to keep himself up. Just as he finishde his drink the server went down.

Now he was all enrgized with the enrgy drink and he had nothing to work on. Imagine the frustration!

I wanna be a Lawyer

I am a science student. Never ever have I been so impressed by any field as I am by Law. I wanna be a lwayer in future. But I am already past the age of going for bachelors, I will try to do it part time (or direct masters admission, if possible)

There are many types of law if onw want to specialize:

"Criminal Lawyers"
"Corporate Lawyers"
"Auto Lawyers"

I dunno what all other fields are there. I am attractted to becoming a Criminal Lawyer. Its a thing in which I can excel, given my wit and quality to be sharp when required. The only thing as interesting as Criminal Law is forensics. But it doenst require my wit, so not a great option

RIA is coming after the downloaders all over the net. The worst part is noone has information what can be downloaded or what cannot be?

I understnd its no use downloading the newer movies but what about older movies who have had there DVDs released?

I would love to see a webiste with 'What can be downloaded and What not" in its list.

Time will soon come when wwe will have an insurance to cover our insurance. However, In countries like India, "life insurance" and auto insuranceis the most important. Other insurance dont matter much, because medical is not that costly. However, in countries like US you better have medical insurance or be ready to declare bankruptsy ;)

Robots

well does the term Robots ring a bell. In my college years one of the most attractice words, and most "talked about" field was Robotics. It was supposed to be the task of the genius few to get into the field and do something worth. But this somewhat boring interpretation of "Robot" is not what i wanna discuss here.

Any one seen "Robots". Well after Ice-Age and Incredibles this is one of my favorites in the animation genre. Specially..Fender .... his jokes are nice especially about Junk music. Robots world is nicely imagined and the starting of the movie is cool where Rodney's dad is going to have a son. The first sentence "Dear!, you missed the delivery" makes a good start.

Bolts - The supports of mechanical industry

Nuts and bolts though insignificant for common human being are very important to the mechanical world. From laptop computers to the simple electronic gadgets like remote control nuts and bolts make the base. They are the key element to provide strength to any joint.

Simple as they look and sound there is a lot of science which goes into designing of right kind of nuts and bolts. Unlike ordinary man, engineers have to go through the pain of learning the highly developed science. Lots of effort goes into designing nuts and bolts depending on there use, for example the nuts and bolts of a Space Shuttle or Rocket must include many properties such as resistant material, withstand high temperatures without fail etc.

Nuts are sometimes also called screws. The difference is subtle and un important for ordinary man.

The Miss World

Aishwarya Rai, the natural choice for Miss Universe title who unfortunatly ( due to a bad sandle) ended up runners up in Miss India Contest. Still her unmatchable beauty proved boon in making a career into the film industry specially after a few not so good movies.

Her tete-e-tete with Salman Khan did gave a negative Jolt to her career, but she carried herself out of the whole situation. The beauty queen is now loosing her youth rapidly, and her bollywood career also seems to be on the verge of collapse.

"South Beach Diet" - Special?

South Beach Diet is one of the latest in the arena of various official diets such as Atkins, Angus (!) etc.
It is not what a person can call a traditional low-carb plan. Beaches are traditional only in Hawaii or Florida!!

However, First time I read about this South Beach Diet plan, I thought one needs to go to the beach and have this diet. And I am still not sure if I thought wrong.

Anyways, Like all diet plans, it starts with carbs and ends with carbs, probably with some different foods which no one has recommended so far. So many diet programs in this world and still the number of obsese people is increasing. TV commercial keeps showing (it seems) same people or digitally enhanced photographs in different advertisements to denote the effectiveness of various diet plans. Seems like South Beach Diet falls under the same category. Anyways, time will tell.
